Rapdragons at the Bohemian Cafe

Lucky us, we saw Baltimore based rap group Rapdragons at the Bohemian Cafe on North Charles Street. You can download their songs for FREE .

4 Reasons Why We're Down With Rapdragons
  1. Clever Titles: "Natural Born Chillers" hints at a use of chillwave samples while referencing the film Natural Born Killers (one of our favorites!).
  2. Sample Selection: Anything from Toro y Moi, Neon Inidan,  to the Reading Rainbow theme song can be part of their charming rhythmic backdrop.
  3. Lyrical Gymnastics: The heat of Rapdragons'  performance comes from their burning hot rhymes, spitting fire like actual dragons. and tons of energy.
  4. Deep Shit: Sometimes, we don't know what the hell Rapdragons are talking about and just know it's some "deep shit"; but their are lines we can understand. These include:
        1. "I'm  a natural born chiller it got me out my element. But I still don't give a fuck so I guess I remain celibate "
        2. "Lets keep it cool my baby, take off them other thangs. Oh yeah, you're killing me girl gotta call you hunger games."
        3. "Mama I'm sorry I don't want to make you cry but i feel like I'm with you every time I get high"

Other than sounding AMAZING live (clarity of a mp3 with personality of a live recording), these guys put on a great show. Greg grabbed his nuts, Rick poured beer on his face and there was plenty of hair-flailing/head-banging from the two of them. Needless to say we were impressed by our first Rapdragons show and can't wait to see them again.

Afterwards, we took some photos of stuff at the Bohemian Cafe, our friends, some people who photo bombed us, and were given free cupcakes and chips by the workers of the cafe! It was a pretty rad night.

How to Be a Spring Breaker In 6 Steps

 Why be a Breaker?
Because you're young and hot but miserable and you need to see new things.
You got a thirst to party and it can be momentarily quenched by a week of wild partying.
SPRING BREAK FOREVAH

ALL VINTAGE EVERYTHING
1. Love the d**k/p***y: This is Spring Break, y'all. If you ain't DTF then GTFO plain and simple.
Not the right attitude.

2. Follow a strict diet of blunts, cocaine and popsicles.

3. When killing and thieving makes you nervous; remember that life is just a video game/movie/rap video.

4. Get below the influence: If you're attractive, the drugs are free (probably sprinkled on another Breaker).

5. Spring Break is your Mecca: Spiritual epiphanies occur midst the gang-banging and binge drinking.

6. Youth is still your worst nightmare: Sure they're vice ridden, violent and amoral but they are also stylish, toned and know how to party.

OOTD: Black and White and Just Black

Hey everyone!! It's almost the weekend, so don't kill yourself yet. :) All of the photos are off  chiffon-cloud.tumblr.com and blackrinehalsey.tumblr.com. You can also check out our store's tumblr http://fashionsofafrica.tumblr.com/ where we posted style photos from the African American Festival in Baltimore, MD.

I'm still in my Monochrome Mood, but my recent excursion to the African American Festival reminded me that summer is for color, hands down. Needless to say I was inspired by the tropical prints, neon, and bright/bold patterns that festival goers sported this year. Big sunglasses, snap backs, sandals and sneaks were the finishing touches of choice.
